Britax Child Safety, Inc. (“Britax,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) explains what information Britax collects from you, how that information is used or shared, and what choices and rights you have in the process whenever you access our Canadian website at www.britax.ca.
1. Personal Information

2. Information Britax Collects

Job-related information: such as information you submit to us when applying for a career opportunity at Britax, which may include your education and employment history, your resume, letters of reference, references, and any additional information provided by you in an application form on our website or correspondence.

Britax shares information with our affiliated companies, third-party service providers, Britax retailer networks, and certain business partners in order to conduct our business activities and protect our rights. We do not collect Biometric information for the purpose of unique identification, information concerning racial or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, or union membership; contents of a consumer’s mail, email, and text messages (unless we are the intended recipient of the communication); genetic data; health information; or Information concerning sex life or sexual orientation.
7. Retention of Personal Information
We retain information for different periods of time depending on the purposes for which we collect and use it. We will delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed to fulfill the purposes listed for each category above unless a longer retention period is required to comply with applicable laws. There may be technical or other operational reasons where we are unable to fully delete or de-identify your information. Where this is the case, we will take reasonable measures to prevent further processing of your information.
8. Safeguarding Personal Information
We use industry-standard methods of securing electronic databases of personal information. However, you should know that no company, including Britax, can fully eliminate security risks associated with personal information. To help protect yourself, please use a strong password, do not use the same password to access your Britax account that you use with other accounts or services, and protect your usernames and passwords to help prevent others from accessing your accounts and services.
9. International Data Transfers
Personal information may be held at our offices and those of our third-party service providers, consultants, and representatives. Some of these third parties may be based outside the region in which we collect personal information. Personal information you provide to us will also be transmitted to and stored in information technology facilities and databases maintained in the United States of America.
While such information is outside of your jurisdiction of residence, it is subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which it is held and may be subject to disclosure to local governments, courts, law enforcement, or regulatory agencies pursuant to local laws.
Personal information collected from Quebec will also be transferred outside of Canada for storage and processing in the United States.
